Slow progress

Apologies for the radio silence!  Life's been busy recently.  I've done more socializing in the last 4 days than I do in about 4 weekends ... and just as I've been hankering for a deep dive into some sewing projects!  (Knitting's felt too ho-hum lately, after my great binge this winter and long hiatus this spring)

Coffee with a friend's friend in the Mission
Renegade!
Dinner with a friend, we've been batting ideas around about a film he wants to produce
Launch party for a coworker's friend's linen and bedding line

Hope you all are doing well and enjoying the lingering days of summer!

Your meet-ups sound fun and intriguing. I like the fabric and pattern, is it liberty or libertyesque? I am enjoying summer here, school has finally broken up and we are getting to see old friends. :)

I think summer is good for goofing off. Guess what I have that very same pattern sitting out. Can I sew-along?

Debbie - it's Libertyesque (reminded me of Liberty when I got it, it's a Moda voile). I keep staring at it and wondering how closely it must match up to the Liberty, but the quality of fabric is definitely not the same.

Sigrid - that would be fun! I am, ah, actually engaging in post-mortem tinkerings, how far along are you?

Oh yay for meet-ups and socializing! :) Our weather is doing a bit of a kamikaze thing. The last couple of days were in the 90s (and I took a dip into the river by my workplace - very beautiful and refreshing!) but the week before that was cold and rainy and it's supposed to be rainy (but warm-ish) next week too (just when I'm going to a summer school with tent accommodations, too...) :D But better kamikaze than no sun at all!

Oh dear, my son would be so mortified if he knew he had just committed to a sew-along. He really should sign out every time I feel like using my google account. Anyway, Haven't started. I am stuck in the sisiphysian task of table clearing. . .
